Design on a Dime!

Have been purchasing things for the remodel.  Trying to stay under $25K to make it livable, that means buying on sale or used!
Bought 1600+ square foot of reclaimed (used) 2 1/2" oak flooring for $1400!  Can do upstairs and downstairs with beautiful 3/4" solid oak!  It will be a lot of work for Chris!

I love Craiglist!!

Then I bought a beautiful Vessel sink with faucet and drain for $75. And a slab of Carrera Marble for $40.
Chris is going to build me an old fashioned "table" for the base.  The inspiration for that is this picture from Country Living magazine.
We purchased 2 vanity lights on sale at Lowes:

We found used cabinets in San Carlos for $1200.  They are 1990s pickled oak, but we will repaint and Chris will rebuild and install!  Plan on installing black granite with subway tile backsplash on the main part of the kitchen, with Chris making and installing 100+year old reclaimed old growth barn wood on the island.

I purchased the appliances (stainless steel) at Pacific Sales.  They had some items 1/2 price, for a total of $1040.

The shop is Chris' dream come true!

New house in the woods!

Here we go again!  Remodeling and then moving.  Our newest project:  Pine Oak Lane.  Scary house on a beautiful piece of land in the Sierra foothills.

Doesn't look so bad from the outside, but here are a few pictures from the inside:

The best thing about this property other than the 1.6 acres is the 36' X 24' shop!!
