Downstairs is finally done!

The new HVAC was installed downstairs and so we moved Kimmy in.

We moved the lemon tree in the downstairs kitchenette to keep it alive in the freezing cold and snow!!

Now we have gained an office upstairs!!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

We went to bed last night with snow falling and woke up to this view outside our window!

We are only 1800 ft, but with the cold snap, we got snow and lots of it!!

 The dogs love it!!

A Little Decorating! Adding Window Treatments!

We are winding down our rehab work and are now doing a little decorating.  In the (very small) master bedroom, the bed couldn't be centered on the windows.  So we hung curtains that covered half the window to make it appear to be a smaller, centered window.

We added sheer curtains to the windows in the great room and a valance over the kitchen sink.

Exterior is painted and deck is sealed!

Our forecast is for 3 days of rain.  The deck was sealed on Friday and the house was painted last week.  At first I wasn't sure I liked the color.  It is hard to pick a color on a chip!  Once it was painted I love the subtle green/gray color with the red doors!

Quite a change from the faded, peeling red paint!!

The downstairs is finished!!

It has been a long few weeks working on the downstairs apartment.  Finally finished.  It turned out great.

Now that the upstairs is done, we are starting on the downstairs

The walls were really rough, so we had to smooth them and then re-texture before painting.  We had to strip the vinyl before we could tile.
